Dining room to play room makeover

Once upon a time...my dining room looked like this.  Yes this looks boring.  We hadn't gotten to the whole hanging things on the wall point yet in this photo.  Stop judging.

Monday morning sunlight streaming into my formal dining room Bean's new playroom/our new office.

I have no idea how we already have that many toys.  I think it's because we've collected them for the niece and nephews and godsons to play with. 
We're awesome aunt/uncles like that.

Yup!  That is a pack and play just waiting for a Bean!  And that is the coloring table for the kiddos.  The squares are under glass and they can hold cool collections of stuff.  Ours, of course, will hold vintage toys.  We still have half of the squares to fill as you can see.  Currently there are Smurfs, Strawberry Shortcake, Herself the Elf, and Little People in the squares.  See the display wall where my wedding vases and dishes used to be?  Yeah, now it's photos of the kiddos.  Sigh.  Someday maybe it'll be a dining room again.  Fat chance?
